This is a visual audio editor that can be used as audio converter, audio
recorder, Audio CD ripper, Audio CD burner etc. The program represents audio
files as a two channel waveform, so that you can visually find and edit required
part. It is possible to select parts with mouse and apply various filters and
special effects. FX Audio Editor is able to reverse the selected part, to add
echo (delay), to normalize sound, to add or remove silence in a file, to create
fade in and fade out, to add chorus or noise, and so on. All popular audio
formats are supported: uncompressed (usual PCM) and compressed (ADPCM, GSM, DSP
etc.) WAV, MP2, MP3, WMA, A-LAW, U-LAW, VOX, MPC, OGG Vorbis, AVI, AIF, AIFF,
AU, CD Audio (CDDA), G721, G723, G726. The program can easily open one format
and save to another, so it can be used as an ordinary audio converter. Just as
easily you can open CD-A files (Audio CD) and save them to your hard drive as
MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, or any other supported format. It is also possible to burn
results of your work (or a bunch of audio files) to Audio CD. Finally, FX Audio
Editor can capture any sound that is playing on your computer, no matter where
the sound comes from.
