Karawin is a multimedia program capable of playing many popular karaoke formats such as KAR, MID, MIDI, RMI, MID+TXK MP3, MP3+KOK, MP3+LRC, KFN, WMA, WAV, OGG DAT, AVI, MPG, VOB. It is not only a karaoke player, but also a lyrics editor. The karaoke manager contains a number of useful tools and features invaluable for karaoke entertainment: voice recorder to record your singing along with the music, sound mixer, MIDI window for basic editing of music files (transposition, tempo, velocity, instruments), playing piano window, converter and CD ripper. It also features a video under lyrics and direct CD+G player in its Professional edition.
You can open different windows from the main interface of the program. In the Explore-like Folders window you can select karaoke songs from your hard drive and add them to Juke Box. In the Juke Box you can edit and manage song lists. The integrated tag editor allows to edit or add information about music files. The history window shows all the songs played in the session and allows to save the list of songs for your reference. The Lyrics window shows karaoke lyrics synchronized with music. Right-clicking with the mouse opens a menu with a lot of options to customize lyrics display (fonts, shadow, gradient background…), add pictures, video, etc.
KaraWin is not designed to create KAR files, but the built-in lyrics editor will help you edit text information in a KAR or MID file, correct some textual mistakes, insert or delete textual events. The Diaporama function is used to show a succession of images under the words. The karaoke player allows using presets for the lyrics window. They can be created and saved or loaded from the internet.
