MIDI to MP3 Converter for Mac is a native application for Mac OS X to convert MIDI to MP3 and WAV formats. MIDI files, being small and convenient for creating music, are not supported by most of hardware players and often produce different or poor sound on other devices, when being played back. The advanced tool provides fast conversion and high quality professional sound thanks to the support for SoundFonts and allows you playing your music everywhere or burning it to Audio CDs.
MIDI to MP3 Converter takes on a role of a sampling synthesizer and transforms MIDI to MP3 with SoundFonts fast and with the professional quality. SoundFonts are sets of recorded samples for certain musical instruments (piano, trumpet, guitar etc.), and the MIDI converter can produce different sound out of the same piece using different SoundFonts. All you need to do is to select the best SoundFont for your MIDI.
MIDI to MP3 Converter for Mac has a preinstalled SoundFont package, but you can download lots of free and paid SoundFont packages from the web. The converter also allows specifying individual SoundFonts for each musical instrument in your MIDI composition to achieve perfect sound regardless of the quality of your sound card. Use the built-in player to pre-listen what your MIDI file will sound like with different SoundFonts.
To enhance sound of your MIDI composition, you can apply some basic sound effects: tempo, chorus, reverb. The program contains a built-in ID3 tag editor which can supply the converted file with such information as title, artist, genre, etc. The tag editor can record metadata for one file or for a group of files having the identical attributes.
