AVS Video Converter is a powerful and multifunctional software application for video converting, editing and DVD creation. It can convert between a huge variety of video formats: HD formats, AVI, MP4, WMV, Blu-ray, 3GP, DVD, VOB, MPEG, H.263/H.264 codecs, DVR-MS, MKV, FLV, etc. The video converter offers ready presets to convert video for iPod, iPhone, iPad, PSP, Zen, PS3, XBox, Nintendo, mobiles, Android devices, portable media players, etc. and uses the built-in uploader to transfer output files to the mobile device of your choice. It will also help you make videos ready for your website, blog, Facebook, Flickr, etc. by converting to Flash SWF, Real Video, WM, and creating HTML pages with embedded FLV/F4V videos, and will upload them directly from the AVS Video Converter interface. Users can adjust audio/video settings to configure the size and quality of output video and save created profiles for later use.
The video converter contains all the necessary tools for creating your own DVD: DVD converter, video editor and DVD-burner. The application's simplistic, yet functional interface offers you first to choose an output format and add the files you want to use for your DVD. Next you can edit them in the Editor window: split video into scenes/chapters and delete unwanted ones. An advanced timeline will enable precise editing, easy and clear navigation. You can add video effects and transitions, apply text and credits to your video. With the help of marks applied to the video, you can apply a certain effect (Deinterlace, Gaussian Blur, Motion Blur, Sharpen, Mosaic, Add Noise, etc.) only to a part of the movie. The preview window will show you how exactly the effect will look on your video. You can also create a DVD menu using ready-made templates, add audio and video as a part of the menu background, create your own captions for chapters and main page in the disc menu. When done, burn DVD/Blu-ray disc to watch them on your home DVD player.
